How does colon hydrotherapy work?
At Allergy and Health Solutions Center, Colon Hydrotherapy, also known as a colonic, helps to flush built-up waste, harmful bacteria, parasites, and toxins out of the colon and helps the entire lymphatic system and associated organs to function properly.
On average, 5 to 25 pounds of impacted waste from medications & undigested food can lodge itself into the walls of your colon. Because the walls of the colon are semi-porous, these materials can leech back into the body weakening the lymphatic system thus causing imbalances and disease.

What is a Closed Colon Hydrotherapy Session?
Closed Colon Hydrotherapy is a gentle, therapist-led method of colon cleansing that focuses on comfort, safety, cellular hydration, and whole-body support.
Unlike open system colonics and enemas, which are often fast, forceful, and focused purely on elimination, we use a slow and gentle fill method. This optimizes and enhances the absorption of water from the bowel through our mesenteric venous system. This results in incredible, cellular hydration of the bowel and the whole body.

What is a normal bowel movement?
- Evacuate at least once a day, usually in the morning

Why not use laxatives?
- Laxatives only work on the last 8-12 inches of colon
- Reduces natural peristalsis (involuntary motions of the intestines)
- The colon can become dependent on laxatives causing it to not work thus becoming distended and toxic

Safe, Sanitary, & Comfortable
We follow strict OSHEA rules and use all disposable materials for the safety & comfort of our clients. There is no cross-contamination or transmission of pathogens.
All Colonics at Allergy & Health Solutions Center are administered by trained, certified therapists in a comfortable, private setting with FDA approved equipment.
During the 1 hour time frame, clients recline on a padded and covered massage table. Clients remain dressed in their own clothes from the waist up and are given a disposable sheet to cover from the waist down. Socks remain on or are provided for the client’s warmth and comfort.
After an informative consultation regarding bowel habits, diet, and medications, the client turns to his or her left side momentarily for the insertion of the speculum. We use an ergonomically shaped, smooth speculum and lubrication. Once the speculum has been inserted (only 1-1/2 inches into the rectum) tubing is connected, and the client returns to a full reclining position on his or her back.
Pure water that has been triple filtered through a state-of-the-art purification system is used, NOT distilled water. Distilled water can throw off your body’s electrolyte balance. We do not recommend distilled water for enemas at thome.
Throughout the procedure, the trained therapist stays in the room performing the procedure and educating the client on bowel health. When done, the client moves discreetly into the adjoining private bathroom.
Upon completion of the colonic, all disposables are removed, and professionally discarded and disinfected.
